Current tips for visiting the museum

Taking into account the Corona Protection Ordinance, we will be opening to all registered visitors from 9 March 2021. Limited time slot à 2 hours can be booked via 0212-25836-10 or 0212-25836-20. There are also limited visitor numbers here. The observance of hygiene regulations is ensured and documented. We are very much looking forward to your visit!

This includes Good Friday to Easter Monday, May Day, Pentecost.

  • by car from the A46 Düsseldorf – Wuppertal, Haan-Ost exit, direction of Solingen-Gräfrath. In Gräfrath follow the museum sign-posts


  • up to station "Wuppertal Vohwinkel"
  • transfer to Bus No. 683 "Burger Bahnhof, Solingen"
  • exit at "Deutsches Klingenmuseum"

Disabled visitors are welcome!
We have wheelchair access.
It is possible to drive directly up to the museums entrance with a car or a bus.
The entrance is free of all impeding barriers and there is an elevator in the building. There is also a wheelchair in the museum that can be used if needed.

If you would like to visit the “blade museum for children” and are in need of wheelchair access please notify us ahead of time.
