REGISTRATION

I hereby register for participation at the Knife Makers' Show Solingen on 28. and 29/4/2012 at the Deutsches Klingenmuseum (German Blade Museum) and recognize the following terms and conditions:

I order one exhibition table (125 x 75 cm) at Euro 360 (incl. taxes).

Member of the German Knife Makers' Guild.
Own application, photographs of minimum two work specimens will be sent by e-mail.
Application for a promotion table, photographs of minimum two specimens of work will be sent by e-mail.

Registration by 31/1/2012 at the latest by fax, post or e-mail (see www.messer-macher-messe.de). The number of tables is limited. Registrations will be taken into account according to the date of receipt.

Payment of the table fee on receipt of the invoice by 1/3/2012 at the latest. Cancellation of the registration by 1.4.2012 at the latest, after that no refund of fees. Direct payment during the exhibition is possible only for exhibitors from abroad as agreed in advance!

Every table will be provided with two badges, please note the names required by you.

During the show, a jury will select the Knife of the Year.

I/we will be taking part in the opening reception on Friday, 27/4/2012 from 6 to 9 p.m., on invitation of the museum.

Please note: The exhibitors who take part in the reception have to prepare their table this day until 6 p.m.

I will participate in the exhibition “At the end of the rainbow – blades as jewellery“ and will send my knife by 14/4/2012, together with the specifications (title, material, year of creation, special features, the “story” behind it) to the museum. In exceptional cases - for example concerning participants from abroad - there is the possibility to hand in the knife by Friday, 27/4/2012, 4pm in the museum, after prior consultation(!). In this case, we would require a picture of the knife as well as the measurements and the associated specifications before 14/4/2012.

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

1. The Knifemakers’ Show, Solingen is a sales exhibition of artistic and collectors’ knives. Knives and other products manufactured industrially may be neither exhibited nor sold.
2. Artistic and collectors’ knives are unique items made of high-grade materials and by hand.
3. Admitted to participate are the members of the German Knifemakers’ Guild and guests invited by the guild or by Deutsches Klingenmuseum. Further knifemakers can apply for participation; for this purpose photographs of minimum two specimens of work are to be enclosed with the registration. The advisory board to the event shall make the decision as to admission.
4. Four promotion tables shall be awarded free of charge for knifemakers at the beginning of their activities in knifemaking. The application is to be stated on the registration sheet and photographs of minimum two specimens of work are to be enclosed. The advisory board to the event shall make the decision as to admission.
5. Every knifemaker shall exhibit solely his/her own products. In the case of group work we request that the names be stated in the registration.
6. The exhibitors undertake, by signing the registration form, to observe the provisions of the Washington Agreement on the Protection of Species with regard to trading with and sale of ivory, tortoise-shell etc. as well as the ruling provisions of the Arms Act.
7. The exhibitor shall have access to the exhibition rooms on Saturday from 8 a.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. It is expected that the tables will be occupied until 6 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
8. The organizers reserve the right to exclude those exhibitors from participation in the show whose exhibits do not comply with the above conditions. In this case no claims for the refund of participation fees already paid or for the payment of damages by the organizers may be made.
9. The organizers shall take out Employers’ Liability Insurance for the period of the Knifemakers’ Show. All other risks such as accident, theft, third-party liability are to be insured by the exhibitors.
10. The exhibition rooms in the museum guarantee a high-quality ambiance. It is expected that the presentation of the exhibits comes up to this standard. In particular it is expected that all lettering/marking is done professionally.
11. All of the rooms in the Blade Museum are non-smoking rooms. Dogs are not admitted to the museum’s rooms.
