Visitor information

A negative covid test is currently not necessary to visit Deutsches Klingenmuseum.
Visitor addresses must be registered on arrival.

Visits without guided tours: can be made without appointment
Guided tours: can be booked for a maximum of ten persons via +49 212 25836-11.

Please note: the museum currently opens tuesdays at 12 p. m.

Openening hours on public holidays are 10:00 – 17:00.
This includes Good Friday to Easter Monday, May Day, Pentecost.

Directions

  • by car from the A46 Düsseldorf – Wuppertal, Haan-Ost exit, direction of Solingen-Gräfrath. In Gräfrath follow the museum sign-posts

or

  • up to station "Wuppertal Vohwinkel"
  • transfer to Bus No. 683 "Burger Bahnhof, Solingen"
  • exit at "Deutsches Klingenmuseum"

Accessibility

Disabled visitors are welcome!
We have wheelchair access.
It is possible to drive directly up to the museums entrance with a car or a bus.
The entrance is free of all impeding barriers and there is an elevator in the building. There is also a wheelchair in the museum that can be used if needed.

If you would like to visit the “blade museum for children” and are in need of wheelchair access please notify us ahead of time.
