Visitor information

A "2G" certification (fully vaccinated or recovered from covid 19) is mandatory to visit the museum.

A negative covid test is not sufficient for the visit.

Children under 15 years of age are exempt from this regulation.

weekdays 10:00 – 17:00
mondays closed
tuesdays 10:00 – 17:00
fridays 14:00 – 17:00

Openening hours on public holidays are 10:00 – 17:00.
This includes Good Friday to Easter Monday, May Day, Pentecost.

  • by car from the A46 Düsseldorf – Wuppertal, Haan-Ost exit, direction of Solingen-Gräfrath. In Gräfrath follow the museum sign-posts


  • up to station "Wuppertal Vohwinkel"
  • transfer to Bus No. 683 "Burger Bahnhof, Solingen"
  • exit at "Deutsches Klingenmuseum"

Disabled visitors are welcome!
We have wheelchair access.
It is possible to drive directly up to the museums entrance with a car or a bus.
The entrance is free of all impeding barriers and there is an elevator in the building. There is also a wheelchair in the museum that can be used if needed.

If you would like to visit the “blade museum for children” and are in need of wheelchair access please notify us ahead of time.
